Due to a software update, some of your encrypted lockers might have become outdated. This guide will explain how to update the lockers in your NordLocker Windows application. To begin migrating your files, you will need to contact our support team.
NOTE: Starting July 1, 2025, outdated lockers will no longer be supported. This means that after this date, you will not be able to access any files stored in your outdated locker. After this date, you will no longer be able to access any files stored in outdated lockers. Our Support Team will NOT be able to help and guide you on this anymore. To check if your files are already migrated, log in to your NordLocker account on https://cloud.nordlocker.com/ and check whether all your files are available to open. We strongly encourage you to complete the migration before the deadline to prevent any loss of access to your data.
Updating lockers on Windows
In order to begin updating your lockers on your Windows device, follow the guide below:
Make sure to keep the NordLocker application running while your lockers are updating.
- Select update lockers to start updating your lockers.
- You will see the message this locker is being updated, and the progress at the bottom right corner:
Once it is done, you should see a message saying your lockers have been updated:
In case the update is not successful, you will see a message asking you to try again. Make sure NordLocker is open and you have a stable internet connection and try updating again. If you are still not able to update your lockers please contact our Customer Success team.
