Unable to log in to NordLocker

If you are unable to log into your NordLocker account, it can be a frustrating experience, especially when you are trying to access your securely stored files. This guide will cover how to regain access to your account.

 

How to change the Nord Account password

Nord Account's password is used to access all Nord services, including NordLocker, NordPass, NordVPN, etc. Using it, you can securely log in and manage your subscriptions, ensuring a seamless and protected experience. If you wish to change your password for Nord Account, follow these steps:

  1. Access the Nord account login page

  2. Select the forgot your password button:

  3. Enter your email address and press the send button:

  4. Alternatively, if you do have access to your account, click on your email address located on the upper-right side and select the account settings button:

  5. Next, press the change password button located in the account details section:

  6. Afterward, you will receive the password reset link to your email. Open it and click on the reset password button:

  7. Input your new password and press the create password button:

    Note: We suggest not reusing your old password. Your new password must be at least eight characters long and include uppercase and lowercase letters and symbols.

 

How to change NordLocker Cloud password

While setting up your NordLocker account, you will have to create a Cloud password. This password is essential for accessing your encrypted files, so it's crucial to store it somewhere safe. If you wish to change your NordLocker Cloud password, follow these steps:

  1. If you have access to your NordLocker account, select the profile button located on the upper-left side:

  2. Afterward, click on the passwords&help button:

  3. Next, click the change button located in the recovery section:

  4. Alternatively, if you no longer have access to your NordLocker account, go to the NordLocker login page.

  5. After logging in using your Nord Account, click the reset it button:

  6. Afterward, input your Cloud recovery key and press the continue button:

  7. Type in your new password and press the continue button once more:

How to reset NordLocker Cloud password recovery key

The Cloud password recovery key is a 25-character-long backup mechanism that helps you recover access to your NordLocker account in case you forget your password. If you want to change your Cloud password recovery key, follow these steps:

  1. Open your NordLocker account and press the profile button placed in the upper-left corner:

  2. Next, select the passwords&help button:

  3. Now press the reset button located in the recovery section:

  4. After inputting your Cloud password, press the continue button:

  5. After reading the agreement, accept it by pressing the box button and click on the update recovery key button:

    Note: Make sure to securely save and store your recovery key, as we don't store it due to our zero-knowledge policy. If you lose both your Cloud password and Cloud recovery key, your access to your encrypted data will be permanently lost.
