NordLocker is a user-friendly file encryption tool available for Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS devices. If you're new to NordLocker, this guide will walk you through the account creation process step-by-step.
Creating your NordLocker account
You can create your NordLocker account either directly from the NordLocker website or by using the NordLocker application. Here's how to do that:
- Open NordLocker website or download and install a NordLocker applications on your device.
- If you're creating your account via the NordLocker website, select create a new account:
If you're using the NordLocker app, click create Nord account:
Note: if you use other Nord services - NordVPN or NordPass, it means that you already have a Nord Account and you can simply log in with your existing credentials instead of creating a new one.
- Enter your email address to create a new Nord Account, or sign up using your Google or Apple account:
- If you chose to sign up with an email address, a 6-digit verification code will be sent to your inbox. Enter this code to verify your email address:
- Create a strong password for your Nord Account:
- Create your Cloud password. This password protects your encrypted files stored in NordLocker's cloud:
- Save your Cloud recovery key. It's your only way to access files if you ever forget your Cloud password and lose your recovery key:
- To complete the process, click download key and finish:
Your NordLocker account is now successfully created! You can now log in and begin securing your files.
