How to download and access the NordLocker Android app
To manage your secure files with NordLocker directly from your Android device, you must first ensure the app is installed and set up correctly.
If you wish to download and set up the NordLocker application on your Android device, follow these steps:
- Go to the Google Play Store and download the NordLocker application by pressing the install button.
- Alternatively, go to our website and press the scan the QR code button. Once the pop-up appears, scan the QR code to download the NordLocker app:
- Next, open the NordLocker app and log in using your Nord account if you already have one, or sign up and set it up.
How to create a new Locker
The main display of the NordLocker application shows all your lockers that have been automatically backed up and synchronized, which you can access on any of your devices. Follow these steps to create a new locker:

If this is your first locker, select the create your first locker button:
- Next, input the locker's name and press the create button:
- If you want to create an additional locker, press the plus (+) button in the top-right corner:
How to upload files
The Android app makes uploading files to your secure NordLocker cloud incredibly simple. If you wish to upload files to the NordLocker Android app, follow these steps:
- Open the specific locker and press the three-dot button, located on the upper-right side:
- Next, select the upload button:
- Afterwards, select your wanted files and press the select button on the upper-right side:
How to download files
Follow these steps to download files from your locker to your Android device:
- Open your chosen locker, select files by holding and tapping them, then tap the three-dot button:
- Next, press the download or download as ZIP buttons to download your files:
How to organize your files
As your NordLocker storage fills up, organising becomes increasingly essential. The NordLocker Android app offers simple ways to manage and arrange your files directly from your mobile device, ensuring your encrypted space remains neat and easy to navigate.
Sort your files
Follow these steps to sort your files:
- Open the NordLocker application, select the locker, and press the three-dash button located on the upper-right side:
- Next, choose how you would like to sort your files and press the apply button:
Change the layout
If you wish to change the layout of your lockers, open the NordLocker application and select the grid button to switch between list and grid layouts:
Rename your locker
Here's how to rename your locker:
- Open your wanted locker and press the three-dot button, located on the upper-right side:
- Select the rename button:
- Next, input your new locker name and press the rename button:
Delete your locker
In order to delete your locker, follow these steps:
- Open your wanted locker and press the three-dot button:
- Next, select the delete button:
- Afterwards, select the delete locker button:
What information and settings can I find in my NordLocker profile
If you wish to open your NordLocker profile, click on the profile icon in the upper-left corner:
In the profile section, you'll find the following:
- Your account's email address:
- Access to the trash bin, along with settings, options to reset your Cloud password and Recovery key, options for sharing feedback or reporting bugs, and the logout function.
