How to download files from NordLocker

Introduction

In this article, you will learn how to download your files from NordLocker to your device.

 

Before you start:

  • Ensure you have an active internet connection to retrieve files from the cloud.
  • Make sure your device has enough storage space for the files you intend to download.

 

Here's what to do

Web Access

  1. Open the NordLocker Web Access, log in to your NordAccount, and unlock the Web Access.
  2. Click on the "My Files" or “Shared” buttons, located on the left side.
  3. Open the folder containing the items you would like to download.
  4. Click on the "Three-dots" button on the right side of the specific file, and select the "Download" option.
  5. Alternatively, you can hold the "Ctrl" or "Shift" buttons to select a file or multiple files, then click the "Download" icon. 

 

Windows

  1. Open the NordLocker application, log in to your NordAccount, and unlock the application.
  2. You can right-click a file and select the "Always keep on this device" option to ensure it is downloaded and synced locally.
  3. Alternatively, drag and drop the files directly from the NordLocker window into your desired local folder.

 

Android

  1. Open the NordLocker application, log in to your NordAccount, and unlock the application.
  2. Tap on the "My files" or "Shared" buttons to find the file or multiple files you want to download.
  3. If you wish to download a single file, tap the "Three-dots" button on the right side of the file and select the "Download" button.
  4. Alternatively, you can long-press to select multiple files, click on the “Three-dots” button, and tap on the “Download” button.
  5. As another option, open a file, select the “Three-dots” button, located at the top-right corner, and select the “Download” button.

 

iOS

  1. Open the NordLocker application, log in to your NordAccount, and unlock the application.
  2. Locate the file or field you wish to download.
  3. Tap and hold the file you want to save.
  4. Select the "Make available offline" option.
  5. Once a green tick appears, tap the "Export" button.
  6. Alternatively,  after making files available offline, select multiple items, tap on the "Download" button, and select the “Save to files” option.
  7. As another option, open a file, tap on the “Export” button located at the bottom-left corner, and select the “Save to files” option to store them on your iPhone or iPad.

 

Additional tips

  • Files downloaded from NordLocker are no longer encrypted by the app once they are saved to your device.
