How to share NordLocker files via link on Web Access

Introduction

This feature ensures that your data remains private and protected during the sharing process, as access is strictly limited to individuals who possess the correct decryption security code. Whether you are sending a single file or an entire folder, NordLocker maintains top-level security for your shared content.

In this article, you will learn how to use NordLocker’s item-sharing link functionality to generate secure, encrypted links for your files and folders.

How to share items via link

1. Open the NordLocker Web Access, log in to your NordAccount, and unlock the Web Access.
2. Locate a folder or a file that you wish to share, click on the "Three-dots" button located to the right of it, select the "Copy link" button, and click on the "Generate link" option.
3. Alternatively, after selecting a folder or file, click the "Copy link" button at the top, and select the "Generate link" button.
4. As another option, you can locate the "Generate link" button on the right side of the preview after selecting a file or folder.
5. Another approach is to select a folder or file, click the "Manage Access" button at the top, choose the "Copy link" option, and press the "Generate link" button.
6. Afterward, if you wish, change the expiration date by clicking the value next to "Expiration date," selecting a day, and clicking the "Confirm" button.
7. Leave the "Security code" toggle enabled for an extra layer of security, or disable it if it's not needed.   
8. Next, copy the link and security code by clicking the "Copy" button to the right of each, then share them with the recipient.    
   
   Note: We advise sharing the link and the security code separately.

How to delete the link

1. Open the NordLocker Web Access, log in to your NordAccount, and unlock the Web Access.
2. Locate the folder or file that was shared via link, click on the "Three-dots" button located to the right of it, and select the "Copy link" button.
3. Alternatively, after selecting a folder or file, click the "Copy link" button at the top.
4. As another option, after selecting a folder or a file, click on the "Link settings" button, located on the right side.
5. Afterward, click on the "Delete link" button, and confirm your choice by selecting the "Delete link" button once more.

How to download files shared via link

1. Open the shared link, enter the security code, and click on the "Continue" button.
   
   Note: If the link doesn't have a security code, it will be opened without the unlock screen.
    
2. If you wish to download one file, click on the "Three-dots" button located next to it, and select the "Download" or "Download as ZIP" options.
3. Alternatively, after selecting a file or a few, click on the "Download" or "Download as ZIP" buttons located at the top.
4. As another option, click on the "Download all" button to download all of the files.
