To maintain the security of your data, you will be locked out of your NordLocker web application as soon as you close or refresh the tab. This article will walk you through the entire process of locking, manually or automatically, and unlocking your Cloud on NordLocker’s web application.
This article will cover:
Locking the Cloud automatically
To keep your account secure, we’ve added an inactivity timer that automatically locks your Cloud when it's not in use. This ensures your data stays protected, even if you forget to log out.
If you wish to set an automatic lock on the NordLocker's web application, follow these steps:
- Open your web application and go to your profile.
- Once there, select the settings tab.
- Afterward, select the dropdown for Autolock and choose your preferred time.
If you have chosen never, the browser app will still lock after you close or refresh the browser tab.
Locking the Cloud manually
As an alternative to locking the Cloud automatically, you can guarantee the safety of your data by manually locking NordLocker's web application. This gives you full control over when your session ends, ensuring that your account is protected immediately after use, even if the inactivity timer isn't set.
To do so, open the web application and click on the lock app button located on the left-side navigation.
Unlocking the Cloud
Once the Cloud is locked (automatically or manually), enter your Cloud password again or unlock it with your phone via biometrics to access your Cloud storage. This adds a layer of protection, ensuring your files are only accessible to you and no one else, keeping your information confidential.
